Goals
The goal of the program is to provide
specialised training in psychiatry for mental health professionals
that will enhance local clinical expertise in mental health care in
the region.
The program provides ‘hands-on’ experience and
training in patient care, psychiatric treatments and special skills
in the nominated areas of expertise including research. Through an intensive form of
continuing education and up-skilling, mental health clinicians can
apply the newly acquired skills and knowledge directly to local
clinical practice in their own countries.
Aims
-
To
develop advanced knowledge and skills in clinical psychiatry

enhance local expertise in mental health care in Asian countries
and promote best clinical practice within local contexts
-
To
increase the capacity of Asia-Pacific mental health clinicians and
institutions to improve mental health care through training and
education.
-
